But the Bible is also a source of truth about our planet. Scattered throughout its pages are
scriptures, which on close inspection give important clues on the processes that led to the
Earth's formation. These scriptures tell us that the processes must have been orchestrated,
witnessed, fine-tuned and recorded by a supreme power and intelligence that we call God.
Thus the story that is told in this book is not one of chance evolution but one of deliberate
creation in which the laws of nature were not suspended, but directed by God's word to suit
His purpose.
The theory for the formation of the Earth that is proposed in this book answers virtually all
the frequently asked questions about our planet, questions such as: Why does the Earth rotate
about its own axis? Why does it orbit the sun? How did the earth get its deep oceans and
unique atmosphere? Where did the continents come from? What is the composition of the earth's
core? Why does the Earth have a magnetic field and why do the positions of the magnetic poles
oscillate? How did the Earth get its lithosphere and asthenosphere? When and how was the Moon
